Public Hearing October 15, 2026
The Edgecomb Planning Board will hold a public hearing on the application of Ben Ellinwood, DPE Holdings LLC, Rock Solid Storage, for the addition of two storage buildings on his property, Map U-2, Lots 001, 003, 012. The hearing will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. at the Edgecomb Town Hall.
Planning Board Meeting 10-1-26 Cancelled
The regularly scheduled Edgecomb Planning Board meeting on Thursday, 10-1-16 has been cancelled as there are no applications. The Ordinance Review Committee will therefore meet at 6:30 instead of 7:30.
Forest Forensics of Edgecomb
Curious? Come to the Town Hall Sunday, October 18th at 1:30pm to hear renowned ecologist Tom Wessels read the tea leaves of the town’s past. Antioch University professor and author of Reading the Forested Landscape, he will discuss the natural and human history of Edgecomb, based on photos of interesting and unique features in town. Hosted by the Edgecomb Historical Society and the Schmid Preserve Advisory Committee

Fire Danger
Despite improved rainfall amounts last spring and some recent rain, hot, dry weather may raise the fire risk again. View a current Wildfire Danger map (Edgecomb is in Region 10). The state has also been experiencing drought conditions (see map). Vigilance is important and burn permits are a critical safety factor. You can easily apply for a Fire Permit online here.
